We soon found out that we both love the selection of succulents we spotted at our local garden center. I was very thankful that I had a budget to stick to as we could have bought one of every plant we saw. We settled on just a few and I’m happy to say that they are all still alive. I might go so far as to say that they are thriving. 🙂
Of course I wanted to share pictures with you so I planted one of our purchases, a Chinese Dunce Cap, in a tiny watering can I had lying around. I am so jazzed…this plant self propagates…sweet! It makes more and they are so easy to grow.
I begin by setting up a vignette to photograph for this post.
I have a digital camera but it’s pretty basic. It does have the macro setting and I used it for these photos. The following photographs were taken in the morning, inside by a window with eastern exposure. Below was my first attempt…It turned out alright, but I wasn’t happy with the glare of the window.
Lesson: Don’t shoot into the light unless you know what you doing…and I don’t.
Truthfully, I just love to take photographs of nature, my children and grand children.
I will embrace this challenge and love the journey.
