Poinsettia & Pyracantha

by Cindi Albright

The vibrant red of the Poinsettia and the Pyracantha berries added color and texture of nature to our rustic Christmas mantle this year.

Three Kings are present with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus is nestled in the manger.  In this setting, a rustic star shows the way. The cross represents the promise to be fulfilled.

One Incredible Moment that offers hope to all mankind….I believe.

Family, the heart of our home

a rustic tool tote holds things dear to us…our faith like the flame of a candle, our family, our home all in the shadow of the cross.

This year our mantle is more than a display for our Christmas decorations.  While gathering items to add, this display began to take on a meaning on it’s own.  When I was done, only then did it dawn on me, the story it told.

I’m sharing my rustic Christmas mantle with fresh poinsettias at The Great Poinsettia Decorating Challenge over at the Greenhouse Diaries, and you can too.  You could win a $50 gift certificate to Olive Garden.  It would be fun to win as Riley mentioned that she had never been there.  What kind of a mother am I?  Depriving my child of those delicious bread sticks!    The Great Poinsettia Decorating Challenge ends December 15, 2011.

Peace. Love. Rust

Merry Christmas

Your decorations are beautiful. I like how you have things arranged. I also love the Poinsettia. I took some shots over the weekend and posted them on my Blog today. Enjoy the holiday season.
